I just “binge watched” every DVD I could get my hands on. So here we go with the spoiler free reviews! Feel free to leave your own comments below!

Plot

Jay Baruchel flies to LA to hang out with his buddy Seth Rogan. After an afternoon of fun with just the two of them, Seth suggests they go over to James Franco’s house for his house-warming party. Jay reluctantly agrees and while they are there all hell breaks loose, literally. Now the remaining party members must figure out what is going on and try to survive.

EXECUTION

The movie is unique in that everybody in it plays fictionalized versions of themselves. I’m not sure how they got so many celebrities to do cameos (Kevin Hart, Rhianna, Michael Cera, that guy from How I met your mother) but they were all pretty funny. The movie just gets funnier as time goes by, albeit quite dark. The way it’s presented however I doubt most would realize how dark it really is. The direction, acting, and comedic timing of this film were really on point.

Music

Backstreet’s back ALRIGHT! There are several popular songs used throughout the film including that backstreet boys hit, gangnam style, Spirit in the sky, and more. Also Henry Jackman created a great moody score for the film. The music is placed well and really adds to the overall mood of the film.
